Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Peptia (“we”, “our”, “us”) handles information in connection with the Peptia mobile application (the “App”).
1. Summary
Peptia is a personal research and tracking utility. You can use it without an account, in which case your data stays on your device. If you choose to sign in (with Apple or Google), we create an account for you and securely back up the data you log to our cloud so it syncs across your devices and isn’t lost. We do not sell your data, show ads, or use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
2. Information stored on your device
Whether or not you have an account, the App keeps a local copy of:
- Compounds you add (name, category, reference values)
- Entries you log (compound, amount, injection site, side-effect notes, timestamps)
- Schedules and reminders you create
- Your acceptance of the in-app disclaimer and your app preferences
3. Information we collect when you create an account
If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive and store:
- Your email address and a unique account identifier from the sign-in provider
- The data you log in the App — the compounds, doses, injection sites, schedules, and side-effect notes described above — associated with your account so it can sync to your devices
This information relates to your personal health and is treated as sensitive. It is stored under your account and protected so that only you, when authenticated, can read or change it. We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell it.
4. Service providers (processors)
We use a small number of trusted providers to operate the App. They process data only to provide their service to us:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and hosting for your account and synced data.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, App Store, and in-app purchase processing.
- Google — Sign in with Google (only if you choose that option).
- RevenueCat — management of subscription status (receives a pseudonymous purchase identifier, not your health data).
5. Subscriptions
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your payment-card details. We receive your subscription status (active / expired) to unlock features.
6. Notifications
If you create a schedule, the App requests permission to send local reminders via Apple’s notification system. These are generated on your device.
7. What we do not collect
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA) — we run no ads
- Third-party analytics, tracking, or telemetry SDKs
- Location, contacts, photos, calendar, microphone, or camera data
- Apple HealthKit data
- Payment-card numbers
8. Your rights and choices
- Use without an account: you can use the App without signing in; nothing is sent to our cloud in that case.
- Delete your account and data: in the App, go to Settings › Account › Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account and all associated data from our servers. You can also email us to request deletion.
- Access / export: contact us and we will help you access or export the data associated with your account.
- Deleting the App removes the local copy from your device.
9. Data retention
We retain your account data until you delete your account (or ask us to delete it), after which it is removed from our active systems.
10. Children
The App is not directed to children under 18 and requires users to confirm they are 18 or older before use.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by an in-app notice.
